"When you awaken love and laughter in your life, your mind lets go of fear and anxiety, and your happy spirit becomes the healing balm that transforms every aspect of your human experience." ~ Bilal Zahoor
Laughter is so important! Some say it can help you heal.
And I believe you can use it as a weapon against winter blues. There may not be anything that makes winter a perfect experience, but laughing your way through it would not be such a bad idea. Arming yourself with stand-up comedy routines by your favorite comedians, or TV shows or movies that you know will make you laugh would be a very hygge approach. Imagine deep belly laughs every day of winter. You know those moments when something has made you laugh, and you're enjoying it? I kinda linger over my own laughter sometimes. I invite you to savor yours, today. And I'll get you started with this video of one of Ellen's stand-up routines... I have loved Ellen's comedy since the first time I saw her on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson. And since laughter is hygge, and thus, good for you, I thought you might want to laugh a little today along with me. But there's another reason I love Ellen, especially on her show. She dances! Remember those commercials, possibly for American Express, when she would dance in the elevator? She reminds me of me, because as a child, I would dance wherever I happened to be if good music was playing. Have a great winter day today! Hope it gives you at least one big belly laugh. Love, Jeanine

"Everyone wants to laugh" - Truer words have never been said. OK - well, maybe someone else said it before Ellen.

Kemkem, me, too! I hum and sing and dance. There's almost always a song playing on the radio in my mind.

I love Ellen Degeneres standup and not her TV shows. Just like I love Jerry Seinfeld- and not his (ok, the Larry David) show...

I think I agree, Roy. Their stand-up is better. Though I usually love the shows, too.

Awww, that's so sweet! I guess I can do both fairly easily, too, but laughter is easiest. Before I even realize I am about to laugh, I am doubled over.
