![]() Welcome to all of you joining me from the Ultimate Blog Challenge! And it's not too late to join us if you have a blog you want to share. I am sharing a whole new blog & website this month. It reflects what has been most on my mind this year. I've lost 90 pounds in the past year, become vegetarian, and changed a lot about the way I eat. You'd think I might keep blogging about that, right? But when I began to think about doing this blog challenge again, what came to mind to write about every single day for an entire month was not eating & weight loss, but style. Losing as much weight as I have has required a whole new wardrobe and I really wanted to understand what looks best on me, so I wouldn't waste the money. In a group of women who were talking about which archetype fits best, several of us talked about how what we really need is the style for earthy, tea-drinking, bookworm homebodies. I started thinking about comfort & wondered how what I learned during my Fashion Feng Shui certification, tweaked a little, might help me create a "comfort type." I am still thinking about what that tweaked system will look like. Still working on what my offerings would be. But meanwhile, I stayed connected to the system we were all talking about in that group I mentioned. That system really helped me as I tried to reconsider which lines and shapes and looks would be most flattering and I decided to share that journey here. In fact, it really inspired me to get back to working on creating my own system. But first, I want to share this other system with you. So meet me back here tomorrow, and I'll tell you all about it! Looking forward to connecting this month. Love, Jeanine

As soon as I saw "Comfort Fashionista," I knew I was going to like this blog! I'm just starting m weight loss regimen, and I've always been an also-ran in the style and flair department. So I'm hoping to learn a lot from you, even though I'm more the Dr. Pepper-swilling, lack-making, bookworm type! Hugs!

Love it, Billie! And thanks so much; glad you like the blog. I may add a section on hygge winter eating because as I was just saying above, fall & winter are big challenges for me. Congrats on starting your weight loss. For me, that is often the hardest part. Hope the Dr. Peppers bring comfort & familiarity as you make other changes.

I also found you through UBC. I'm a bookworm who is big into chocolate, and that's some of my problem. Between 2012 and 2013 I lost 44 lb and now I've gained 11 of those pounds back. It must stop! I need to wrap myself up in a good comfortable blog as the winter months approach. I'll be back.

Hi Alana!! Boy, do I understand being into something sweet that might not love you back! On my own journey, I had a 2-week vacation and gained back 15 pounds, myself. It took me weeks to lose it again and I hated myself at first. But then, I decided to be as compassionate about it as I could. I didn't do it "on purpose," after all, and it just meant I needed to find ways to add even more "treats" that would feel good even as I stopped eating some other things again. If you want some support for starting again, I have another blog here (vegetarian weight loss) that I am thinking of writing in, too, as I try to hygge my way through the upcoming comfort food season. Love to you! ~Jeanine
